Competences

In the area of technical textiles, a mite and down-tight ultrafine fabric was developed from polyester microfiber and registered for patent. Building on this product, further breathable barrier fabrics were developed with an extraordinarily high particle retention capability for clean room clothing and surgical textiles. These permanently antistatic and autoclavable barrier fabrics are certified.

Plauener Seidenweberei also delivers down-proof fabric from 100% natural silk. The fabric may be adjusted in its tightness according to the market requirements.

The products of Plauener Seidenweberei GmbH (fabric, semi- and finished products) are partly certified according to the Ökotex Standard 100. There are further certificates for individual products.

Production at Plauener Seidenweberei GmbH has been certified pursuant to DIN EN ISO 9001 and DIN EN ISO 14001.

Plauener Seidenweberei GmbH manufactures filament fabrics from silk, polyester and polyamide for the most varied textile applications. Technical yarns, as for instance, flame-retardant or electrically conductive materials are used in a wide range of products.

The production range includes the areas doubling mill, warp production, weaving, finishing and assembly. A flexible response to customer needs is therefore always guaranteed.

YARN PREPARATION

As one of the largest producers of natural silk in Germany the Plauener Seidenweberei GmbH marketed different silk yarns as Grege, Trame, Taffeta, silk waste and Bourrette. The silk weaving offers both yarns in different presentations and specially prepared for warp knitting and weaving.

WEAVING

Plauener Seidenweberei manufactures besides rapier and air-jet Webmaschienen on modern jacquard - looms up to 40,000 warp and a width of 320 cm.
Here, both individual customers as well as our exclusive designs, house designs are translated translated into the highest quality.

FINISHING

Our years of experience with the most sophisticated natural fiber silk and their following processing technology allows us, for example, to prepare silk fabric for down proof quality and with our modern machine park resource-saving and environmentally friendly refine according to DIN EN ISO 14001 and DIN EN ISO 9001.
